Connecticut will see its first snow of the new year with a coating to an inch or two expected.
The snow will come from a quick moving low pressure system that will graze the area Tuesday evening.
“The forecast storm track brings light snow amounts to portions of our area,” the National Weather Service says.
“Timing is 7 p.m. Tuesday to around 1 a.m. Wednesday. A shift north could bring slightly higher amounts while a shift south would little to no snow.”
The precipitation could start off as plain rain or a mix of rain and snow, but a quick changeover to snow is expected.
