NORWALK — The Rowayton Arts Center recently released the winners of its spring arts show. Michael O’Hara won the best in show for his photograph “Attention Deficit.”
David Kaplan of Greenwich (photography), Jan Raymond of Darien (acrylics), Beatrice del Perugia of Westport (watercolor), Amy Schott of Wilton (mixed media), Hanneke Goedkoop of Norwalk (drawings, pastels and prints), Robert Baxter of Westport (oils) and Chris Perry of Ridgefield (sculpture) also one first place prizes in their respective mediums.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit will be on view until Saturday, March 31, free admission.
Other upcoming events at the Rowayton Arts Center include a free artists talk on March 14 from 6:30-8 p.m., during which artists from the show will discuss their work and inspiration, and a night of art-inspired poetry with Poet Laureate Laurel Peterson on April 11 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The center also hosts paid classes and workshops for artists of all ages.
