More than 200 students, ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade, participated in the ninth annual Kings Highway Elementary School Variety Show. They raised money for the organization Al's Angels, which supports children and families battling cancer.
The May 22 show, coordinated by the school's teachers, reached its fundraising goal of $5,000, according to information provided by the school.
"This show is really all about kids helping kids. Kids can make a difference," said Tara Doyle, a technology teacher at Kings Highway and co-coordinator of the show.
