Old Man Winter's cold and snow onslaught getting you down? Be brave, and get out and about before any more snow falls on Westport. Here's a few ideas about what to do this weekend:

It's the second weekend of performances of "God of Carnage" at the Music Theatre of Connecticut, 246 Post Road East. The play tells the story of two upper-middle-class couples who meet over drinks to solve a school yard fight between their children, only to get into a fight themselves. Hours are 8 p.m. Friday, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $45-$25. Call 203-454-3883 or visit www.musictheatreofct.com for more information.

Barnes & Noble Bookstore, 1076 Post Road East, will hold a book fair Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day includes a talk by author Mark V. Ewert, children's craft session and a storytime. Call 203-221-7955.

Puppets add a new twist to the classic tale with "Sleeping Beauty Dreams" Sunday at the Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court.
