The Westport Center for Senior Activities at 21 Imperial Ave. has announced the following programs.
Tuesday, Jan. 14: Adam Propper, a chiropractor and wellness expert, will give the presentation "Preparation for Outdoor Activities Prevents Injuries." The free program is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 16: Dietician Holly Betts will conduct a "healthy cooking" class from 3 to 4:30 p.m., with a focus on what center officials said was making cooking fun, not a chore. The meal to be prepared is chicken braised in white wine and mustard, plus green beans with lemon and garlic. The cost is $6.
Saturday, Jan. 18: A "Saturday Social" featuring lunch and musical entertainment is planned from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The menu includes pot roast with mashed potatoes and turnips, chickpea salad, chocolate chip cookies and beverages. After lunch, Tienni Chen and Yvonne Cheng will perform a medley of Chinese songs. Cost for lunch and entertainment is $7.
