The eastern pedestrian tunnel at the Saugatuck Railroad Station, also known as the old pedestrian tunnel, will be temporarily closed for maintenance starting at 9 a.m. Friday, according to the Police Department's Parking Division.
It is scheduled to reopen at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 27.
During that period, the tunnel will be cleaned and repainted.
The newer pedestrian tunnel will remain open at all times during the project.
The drainage system will be serviced and new lighting also will be installed.
