Polls in Westport and across the rest of the state opened this morning at 6 a.m. for balloting in Republican primary contests for state offices on the November ballot.
Voting continues until 8 p.m.
In Westport, all registered Republicans are eligible to cast ballots for several statewide posts, highlighted by the race for the gubernatorial nomination between state Sen. John McKinney of Fairfield and businessman Tom Foley of Greenwich, the party's unsuccessful 2010 nominee.
