Luxe Winebar on Main Street has reopened under new ownership.
The bar and restaurant at 190 Main St., formerly called Luxe Modern Wine & Cocktails, has been welcoming customers since the establishment reopened Dec. 12.
There have been some changes to the interior of the establishment, and there are some new staff members behind the bar, according new owner Dave Morton. He said he is working to make the setting warmer and friendlier, plus adding menu items to complement the existing choices.
"The cheese and charcuterie have been well received," Morton said. "I want to give people even more options to choose from. New items will include desserts and chocolates from neighboring businesses, plus other wine-friendly noshes like hummus and pita chips and olives."
"I will continue the craft cocktails and the wines that regular customers love," he added. "Plus, we will also be having special events at Luxe."
To celebrate the re-opening, Morton has announced Happy Hour pricing Monday through Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m.: half-price cocktails, wines-by-the-glass and bottled beer.
Former owner Robert Reilly helped with the plans for reopening the restaurant, which closed in October. "We had a loyal customer base that was disappointed to see Luxe had closed temporarily," Reilly said. "Dave and I hope they'll come back and find Luxe better than ever."
Luxe Winebar hours are Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., and weekends from noon to 1 a.m. It is open for private functions. Call 203-349-5039 for more information or visit Luxe Winebar on Facebook.
