I fully understand the new operations director position was included in the town budget and supported by the Representative Town Meeting. However, as a longtime Westport resident, I try to follow and understand the issues. I am not averse to the position but would like to ask the following questions:
1.What does the position entail? What is the job description.
2. How does Westport benefit?
3. How will the position save Westport money, since government efficiency is paramount?
Since it is a new position, it certainly should be reviewed in a year.
