King Yogi, a Tibetan Mastiff mix under 1 year old, is a available for adoption through Save Our Strays in Westport.

The volunteer animal welfare organization, Save Our Strays, is looking for a new home for King Yogi, a Tibetan Mastiff mix under 1-year-old.

King Yogi is large but currently underweight so once he gains weight, he will be bigger, according to information provided by Save Our Strays. The organization reports that the young dog now knows how to sit and enjoys playing with toys, but walking on a leash is still "a work in progress."

King Yogi is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and is heart worm negative. He has "a goofball smile," according to Save Our Strays, and needs an experienced owner.

Save Our Strays, 1677 Post Road East, requires a prospective adopter to complete an application, interview with an adoption coordinator, and pay a $25 non-refundable deposit. The fees are $250 for dogs, $100 for adult cats and $125 for kittens up to 5 months old. All animals are current on age-appropriate immunizations and spayed or neutered before placement, unless their age or health requires it be done at a later time.
