The Westport Library is holding a "Book Club Extravaganza" on Sunday, June 8. The event will include discussion with two authors, and a panel of publisher's representatives.
J. Courtney Sullivan, author of "Commencement," and "Maine," will talk about her new novel, "The Engagements." The book, slated to be released as a movie, was one of People Magazine's Top Ten Books of 2013. Sullivan is a co-editor, with Courtney Martin, of the essay anthology, "Click: When We Knew We Were Feminists."
Adelle Waldman, whose first book "The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P," was named the best book of the year by the New Yorker magazine, NPR, Slate and others, will also be appearing.
Publishers' representatives will kick off the program at 1:30 p.m., with prizes for readers and book clubs, followed by discussion with the authors.
