"Anticipation," a drawing in graphite and colored pencil by Molly O'Shea, is among artwork by 14 Staples High School students in an exhibition opening April 1 at the Westport Library.

An exhibit of work by artists from Staples High School opens Tuesday, April 1, at the Westport Library.

The show features the work of 14 student artists using various media, including pencil, charcoal, oil, collage, photography and ceramics, the library said in a news release.

Entitled "Considering Reality: Emerging Artists from Staples High School," the exhibit was curated by Staples students Michael Abrams and Ben Goldschlager, with the help of Katherine Ross, a private art teacher, according to the release.

The work will be in the Riverwalk display case on the library's lower level.

An opening reception is planned Friday, April 4, from 6 to 7 p.m., in the library's McManus Room, across from the exhibit. The reception is free and open to the public, and the library asked that attendees use the library's upper-level entrance.

The exhibit will run through July 1.
